Firey Jack! Firey Jack!

Aaron and Jared have been laboring over their Pinewood Derby car. It's sleek, red -- with flames licking the front, and it's name Firey Jack blazing across the back. Way too cool. Thursday and Friday they got to race it against the rest of the cars in the pack. Go Jack, Go!

One Week Old

Miss Finley Grace is one week old! And, as is our little tradition, we had a happy birthday party. When Jared was one week old, my mom and Aaron's mom were both with us in Provo. My mom made the most excellent pineapple cake, and I have a photo of her holding Jared with one little candle sticking out of his cake. I love that with each little milestone I get to relive memories of each of the kids at the same age. Life is beautiful.

First Bath

Aaron and I gave Finley her first sponge bath together. She started out snuggled in her blanket, happy as can be...
then the clothes came off and the wet rag went on...
but after just a moment in her towel, wrapped in her mom's arms, she seemed to forget all about the torture.

She is so very easy to adore.

Our Finley-love is five days old. Sleepy and snuggly, she is a breath of heaven.

Finley Grace

Our Finley Grace was born Wednesday, January 3rd at 12:23am. She weighs 7lb 6oz, 19 inches long. She is tiny and perfect and we are all in love.
